Summer Opening Hours

From the start of the summer holidays (i.e. Wednesday 12th July) until mid September, we’ll be open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday for lunches and dinner.  We believe that the food is great value.  And we also offer the cheapest pint on the Helford at only £3 for Members.  We have Keltek Phoenix Bitter on draught and are shortly going to add Skinners Porthleven Bitter.  So do call 01326 340065 to book a table this Friday or Saturday and try it out!

We’re looking for a front of house/bar manager to work during the summer four days a week so if you know someone who is confident, friendly and up for the job, do let us know.  We will also be looking for charming waiting/kitchen staff who will get a proper hourly wage, a share of tips and a meal when they work.

We have one pontoon berth still available.  In addition we have a few beach moorings and a couple of trots.  So if anyone is interested call Tom at home on 01326 340525.  For anything relating to the Club, Members, Moorings, Holiday Accommodation call us at home.  For booking a table, call the club number on 01326 340065.

New Chef

We are delighted to announce that Alex Nutt is taking over the running of The Restaurant & Bar at Port Navas Yacht Club. Tom will work two nights a week behind the bar alongside Alex and his team.

Alex has a love of simple food.  He specialises in fire cooking and will use a variety of outdoor barbeques to cook with.

We will open every Friday (dinner) and every Saturday (lunch and dinner) in June and early July.  And if demand calls for it, we’ll open on Thursdays and Friday lunchtime too.  So the more you come, the more we’ll open!

From 11th July until 16th September (ie school holidays), The Restaurant & Bar will be open 5 days a week – Tuesday to Saturday:

  • Tuesdays for Dinner from 6pm
  • Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for lunch and dinner open from 12 noon with the end of service at 8pm each day – bar open to 10.30 pm

Tom, Ant and Fran would like to thank everyone for their support during Frantic Friday Feasts.

Tom: “We are delighted to have Alex on board. Alex is an exciting professional chef who wants to keep The Restaurant and Bar open 5 days a week during the summer holidays. We wish him every success and we thank you for your continued support.”

Club news

The buoys have all been serviced and the beach moorings are ready for use.   The mens loo and shower room have been rather drastically de-constructed to allow us to completely refurbish them. The ladies loo will become unisex during the work so remember to lock the door to avoid any surprises!

Mooring News

All the creek moorings are being serviced and replaced with navy blue bouys by Brendon Rowe by 28th March – in time for the high tide.  Members are therefore welcome to launch their boats from 28th March.
