Giles and Black Dog

It was the anniversary of Giles’ death on Saturday.  Thanks for the many kind messages and words.  We miss him terribly.  On the same day Black Dog had her last serious COGS race and Stuart, Simon and team dedicated it to Giles with the PNYC burgee proudly flying.  In spite of some hairy moments (including gybing downwind in 30 knots), Black Dog won.   We know that Giles would have been INCREDIBLY proud of them all and almost certainly would have volunteered to be ballast on one of Black Dog’s outings.
