The X Word

I know, I know. It is only the 21st November, but it is eveywhere! Mince pies have been on sale since August, the street lighting is in place in Penryn and Falmouth and it won’t be long before I am wobbling on the top of a ladder trying to hang the lights on the ever-growing cherry tree in the front garden. Xmas is coming!

There is however, a good reason to mention the X Word at this point in time – planning. Many of you will be planning your Christmas breaks, family coming and going, friends turning up out of the blue and you might not want to spend all your time entertaining at home. So that is where we come in, stepping into the shoes of the Christmas elves for a few moments!

We will be open as usual on Thu 19th, Fri 20th and Sat 21st. During Christmas week, we are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day (Thu 26th), but open on Fri 27th, Sat 28th and, in addition, on Sunday 29th. We will also consider opening on Monday 23rd and Monday 30th if there is sufficient demand from you guys. So if any of these additional dates are of interest to you, please let us know and we will definitely open if we have 10 or more customers on each date. Also happy look at other dates in December for office parties of 10 to 28 people!

Next week’s wine tasting on Thursday is fully booked. Kick off at 7pm prompt, with beef ragu lasagne being served at the end of the tasting, around 8.30pm. Any non meat eaters please advise Mike in advance. Thanks.

Last week’s Curry & Quiz night was a great success, so many thanks to all for your participation. A couple of people have asked me for more information on the dishes I cooked. I will post a link to the recipes shortly (once I have looked into any copyright restrictions!)

We have a few tables available today and Friday, so please pop in or give us a ring. (Full on Saturday)

We will be closed for the month of January 2020, re-opening on Thursday 30th.

Hope to see you all soon

Mike & Nigel and the team.
