While the rest of the country struggled with storms and strong winds, Port Navas enjoyed a balmy evening for its traditional Summer Barbecue. The crowd was convivial; mostly local friends and neighbours with a few very welcome visitors. Good food and good company.

A gorgeous evening in Port Navas for the private view of the exhibition of Helford River sketches by the late Tom Cross.

Unfortunately your photographer only managed to take a handful of photos before he became distracted by the art on display and the art lovers in attendance!

May 25th: It was a mild evening and a great turn-out of friends and neighbours for the private view of Tiffa’s exhibition: Botany and Boats. Mally Francis, Tiffa’s botanical tutor, and her husband Charles came all the way from Heligan. The paintings were much admired and lots of red dots were deployed!

Thanks to Annabel Lucas and her crew who organised a lovely relaxed picnic on the Quay to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. Also thanks to Mark Mercer of the Duchy Oyster Farm for the use of the Quay. It was a beautiful sunny day and we all enjoyed the chance to relax with neighbours and friends.
