June already!

Well, that last week flew by! We made a flying visit to London for my lovely niece, Eva Rose’s wedding which was a great do. Just before we heard about the wedding plans we had booked a short break away in Bordeaux with Nigel, Debs and Helen. So back from London on Saturday, evening service, then off to Bristol airport early on Sunday morning, to arrive in sunny Bordeaux mid-afternoon. What a lovely city it is too! We walked our feet off, sometimes even knowing where we were going, and had a couple of interesting ‘deviations’ on the way.

As a result of all this travelling, I have barely changed anything on the menu this week, so will be looking at that more next week, at which point I will have decided on whether to go ahead with a brunch at mid-summer or not!

We have tables available all weekend, so please pop in or give us a ring.

Hope to see you all soon

Mike & Nigel and the team.

  • Winter takes a holiday!

As I sit writing this at home, the sparrows in the garden don’t know whether they are coming or going! In and out of my neighbours eaves, they seem to be nesting again in the warmer weather, presumably convinced that spring has arrived again. Oh well, they will need to start looking for an ark…
